For this evening there will be an early surprise with BoN heading towards Berlin with an instrumental trio consisting of guitar, bass and drums. BoN moves between surf, post, haulm, proto-house and indie rock. Matze Witzke and his eccentric left-handed guitar is the musical engine of the trio. Till Hogrefé's big bass and Christoph Döhne's small but tight drum playing form the foundation. Headed by Christoph AKA Le Rok that as been spreading magic since before magic was magic, you might have seen him releasing on Karaoke Kalk or Kalk Pets or on Sonar main stage if you keept an eye open these guys Live like to grow beyond themselves and convince with their compact, varied and arousing program, many words are not their thing, they let their instruments speak for it all the louder.

Lisbon bred, Munich based Lino Rodrigues, aka Alkalino, began DJing in the late 80's. Skip forward almost 30 years through countless worldwide residencies and numerous vinyl releases and we find Alkalino at the top of the international Disco / Nu-Disco Edit craze with releases on multiple labels. Naphta is a musician, producer and DJ based in Wroclaw, Poland. Red Bull Music Academy alumni blends grooves from all over the world, slickness of disco oriented house/techno music and free jazz creativity (with Sun Ra as his guide), with p-funk synths, wild guitars and afrobeat thrown in for a good measure. He released string of 12” EPs: “Solar Empire” on Transatlantyk, “Baltic Rim” on OMENA, “Palm Trees Love” on Studio Barnhus and “Enter the Dagon” on Father & Son Records And Tapes. His debut album, “7th Expedition” conceived with the help from musicians from all over the world, dropped via Transatlantyk. Naphta’s second album, “Naphta and the Shamans”, dropped via Astigmatic Records this year and its collective, jazzy and psychedelic flavour garnered support from the likes of Gilles Peterson or Andrew Weatherall. His DJ sets are eclectic and soulful, with variety of house, jazz and disco iterations involved, his live show, constructed around obscure samples, driving bass and dirty drums, is adventurous and passionate. Originality, artistic bravery and respect for musicality of dance music are his beacons in today’s electronic music scene, dominated by generic and uninspired sounds.
